hi everyone!
i'm sorry for being the weak link! sam hand-delivered his awesome drawing right on schedule last month when he was in NYC, and i cooed over it, put it on my mantle, and then waded into the murky depths of the spring semester without deigning to share. the drawing is awesome, and it was v cruel of me to keep it to myself!

Revised project idea
Hey everybody,
So as I suspected, we are all running behind on this project. I am wondering if the whole open-to-interpretation, make a mailer thing is too ambitious or too much work, given our busy respective schedules. Would any of you be interested in revising to something a little simpler? Maybe a sketchbook that we mail to each other? Your thoughts and comments please.

RR part the Third.
Hi guys,
I have just received Jenny's awesome contribution to our little project. I am very impressed, since lettering and hand-painting are both areas I would like to improve upon.
Suffice to say, I am now in a very holiday mood. I will endeavor to use this creative fuel to get my own piece out the door asap!

Back to the drawing board
Hello Round Robin-ers! Exciting news! I have received Meredith's contribution to this unique, collaborative art creature we are creating, which has triggered me to start my own work. After I am finished, I will then pass the torch on to another round robin participant (hopefully this will be in the next few weeks).
Here are some photos of the piece that Meredith sent me. The images are made via cut paper (geez, look at those details!). It was also folded down in an intricate way, such that when I first opened the package, it was one small, compact square. It folded out to reveal the full piece.
I am excited about starting this project because I haven't done anything illustration-based in a while. I think I am into the idea of somehow using Meredith's artwork as a springboard into my own piece, though I am not sure how I'm going to do that yet (could be very obvious or very subtle). Here I go--diving in!
Yours in artistic motivation,
Jenny
